The meeting was hosted, once again, by Aon Hewitt.
This year we were thinking about how we link wellbeing life factors to workplaces to encourage good employee wellbeing?
The workplace wellbeing sector is asking organisations to think of their employees as whole people. So, if work influences people’s lives and people’s lives influence their work – how does this effect the wider community? Are there things that organisations can be doing that will have positive outcomes at work (improve engagement, productivity, purpose and meaning, innovation etc…), but also benefit the wider community? We wanted to explore this concept further.
What can organisations do that will influence both the way we work and the communities we live in? What systems, practices, examples and information can they be providing to their employees that will influence their wellbeing? During our event we hope to stimulate and challenge organisations to look at how they discuss, enact and promote workplace wellbeing so it is a tangible and meaningful concept.
Our special guests were Catherine Lourey, Mental Health Commissioner NSW and Robyn Hobbs OAM, NSW Small Business Commissioner
