About the role
We are seeking a Mental Health Promotion & Campaign Senior Manager who will be responsible for mental health awareness programs, promotion activities and campaigns.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan, coordinate and evaluate mental health promotion activities and campaigns with a focus on Mental Health Month
- Organise key events such as Mental Health Awards program.
- Plan and implement future mental health promotion, prevention, and early intervention strategies, including mechanisms for evaluation.
- Build & maintain stakeholder relationships management (internal & external)
- Lead creative workshops for continuous innovation and incorporation of voices of lived experience in mental health promotion campaigns
- Lead the Mental Health Month reference group comprised of key stakeholders from the Mental Health sector
- Participate in the Australia wide Mental Health Month/week coordinators collaboration group
- Act as an advocate and spokesperson for WayAhead.
About you
Our ideal candidate
- Tertiary qualification in population health, health promotion, public health, or other related area.
- Minimum three years’ experience in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of evidence-based health promotion activities.
- Project management skills including demonstrated ability to plan, implement, evaluate, and disseminate a health promotion report on the outcomes of a project.
- High level written and oral communication skills; including strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in the development and delivery of health information and practice resources, including digital content.
- Proven ability to work independently, while managing competing priorities, and to work effectively in a team environment.
