It is a place where people who are impacted by anxiety can give and receive support related to living with and managing their anxiety. It is facilitated by trained volunteers who have a diverse range of experiences but who are not qualified health professionals. As such\, this group is not suitable for people with high levels of mental distress which may be associated with psychosis\, severe depression or active post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). DESCRIPTION:Living with Anxiety: Online Peer Support Group is a free\, weekly space for people living with anxiety to connect with others who understand. Anxiety can be isolating\, especially for those living regionally\, caring for others\, retired\, in recovery\, managing chronic health conditions\, taking time away from work or study\, or finding it hard to leave the house. This group offers a safe and calm\, peer-led space where you can feel a little less alone in anxiety. There’s no pressure to speak. You’re welcome to listen\, share\, or simply be present. We meet via Zoom every Tuesday from 1 to 2pm.
