Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Awareness Week 2016 will run from the 22nd – 28th May.
WayAhead is running a number of FREE events over the week including
- A Public forum at Springwood
- A Panel Discussion at Woolloomooloo, and
- A full day conference in Gosford, including a Professional Development Workshop for medical health practitioners.
For OCD Awareness Week – WayAhead is offering a collection of free resources including various sized posters, for your workplace or office. The aim of these resources is to explain what Obsessive Compulsive Order (OCD) is. This may help for someone who has OCD or their carers to recognise the symptoms and seek help. It may also help to stop people using the label “OCD” incorrectly and inappropriately.
Interested in becoming involved?
If you or someone you know has a lived experience of OCD we would love to talk to you/them (confidentially) for a new podcast we are planning and other media avenues that will look into the issues that surround Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.
